Reasons for becoming a member.

What is a wine club?

A wine club is a means of introducing “other wines” which we consider good value for money; it is an opportunity to taste different wines from new enologies and areas where the production is very limited and from where The Club will select exclusively for you.

How does a Club work?

In the most simple way possible. Eleven times a year (each month with the exception of August) you will receive a home delivery of a selection of six bottles of wine worth between 45€ and 65€. There will be no delivery costs for deliveries in Minorca. Additionally we will be offering four special seasonal selections of between one and four bottles. Each special selection will include two or three types of wine. During the year you will have the opportunity to taste over 25 new wines, an affordable, irresistible luxury to be shared with family and friends. With every six bottles you will receive detailed information on the wine (producer, wine, suggestions on how and when to enjoy the bottle etc.) and information on the next selection. A maximum period of ten days to cancel or increase your next order will be given. Accepted deliveries will be charged to your bank in accordance with your bankers order.

How do you cancel or increase your order?

By any of the normal ways of communication e.g. fax, e-mail, telephone etc. If we do not hear from you it will be understood that you would like to receive the next selection.

Membership is free and does not incur any type of commitment to purchase or to pay monthly instalments.

Members of The Club will receive preferential treatment in our shop De Vins Botiga.

- Members will be offered a discount of 7% on all items, except books, in the shop.
- Members will receive preferential treatment at tutored wine tasting sessions , wine tasting curses and activities organized by De Vins Menorca, and will enjoy an additional 10% discount on any participation fees..
- After the first selection a point system will be introduced, each accepted selection will be awarded points which members will accumulate. For each six consecutive selections accepted six points will be awarded to the member. For introducing a new member to The Club five points will be awarded. I point will be equivalent to 1€ and members will be advised of their accumulated points regularly.
- Gradually The Club will incorporate other products, e.g. preserves, high quality Spanish sausage, accessories, glass etc.
- Members may exchange points for shop items offered in The Club catalogue.
- Members will be invited to participate in competitions and raffles *
- There will be months when Members will be offered discounts in restaurants *
- (* = providing that that month’s selection has not been cancelled)
- The main advantage is surely becoming a member of Minorca’s first wine club.

When will the first selection be available?

In April 2009 and information on this first selection will be published on our web site during the next few weeks.
